Qualifikationen

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry experience.
• Strong ability to read structural drawings and specs.
• Experience with large concrete/industrial projects.
• Experience with estimating reinforcing steel quantities.
• Familiarity with fabrication and field placement.
• Knowledge of ACI and CRSI requirements.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to mentor junior estimators.

Aufgaben

• Perform completing reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions.
• Analyze bar sizes, tonnage, congestion, splices and embeds.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Identify project risks and cost exposures before bid submission.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates.
• Assist management in final bid strategy and price.
• Solicit and evaluate material, fabrication, freight and subcontractor pricing.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation.
