Job summary

Cytel Inc. is seeking an experienced epidemiology data scientist to support RWE analytics using large data sources (Claims and/or EHR). You will analyze data, develop protocols, and create analytical databases in collaboration with epidemiologists and statisticians.

You will liaise with vendors and present results to clients, contributing to study reports and scientific deliverables while prioritizing multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in related field with 5+ years of RWE analytics experience in pharma, CRO, or academia.
• Strong SQL proficiency; SAS or R proficiency required.
• Deep expertise analyzing RWE sources such as Optum Clinformatics Datamart, Truveta, UK Biobank; experience with clinical trial data desirable.
• Familiarity with relational databases and claims/ ancillary file layouts.
• Applied statistics including regression, survival analyses, and propensity weighting.
• Excellent project management, prioritization, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources (Claims and/or EHR).
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain relevant data extracts for studies.
• Create analytical databases to facilitate analyses.
• Conduct analyses per study protocols and analysis plans.
• Produce tables/figures for discussions with investigators, clients, and study reports.
• Present results internally and to clients.
• Assist in preparation of study reports and deliverables.
• Potential supervisory responsibilities in future.
