Job summary

Cytel is seeking an experienced epidemiology data analyst to support Real World Data (RWD) analytics. You will partner with epidemiologists to design studies, prepare data extracts, and develop analysis plans leveraging large RWD sources such as claims and EHR data.

You will create analytic databases and generate results for internal and client discussions. You will apply regression, survival, and propensity weighting methods, with strong SQL/SAS/R or R skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, or economics with 5+ years of RWE analytics experience.
• Proficiency in SQL is required; SAS or R proficiency is required.
• Experience with RWE data sources such as Optum Clinformatics Datamart, Truveta, UK Biobank is preferred.
• Familiarity with relational databases and familiarity with claims and ancillary file layouts.
• Experience with regression, survival, and propensity weighting methods.
• Excellent project management and strong communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of study protocols and analysis plans using large RWD sources (Claims and/or EHR).
• Liaise with data vendors to obtain data extracts aligning with study protocols.
• Create analytical databases from data extracts for analyses.
• Conduct analyses per study protocols and analysis plans.
• Produce tables/figures for discussions with investigators, clients, and reports.
• Present results internally and to clients; assist in study reports and deliverables.
• Potential supervisory responsibilities in the future.
