Job summary

Skydio is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for the Streaming team to build and operate the cloud infrastructure behind our real-time video platform. You will work across Kubernetes, networking, and deployment systems to improve reliability, performance, and security.

The role is hybrid, with code changes as needed, and requires ownership of projects from design through production, collaborating with device, networking, and product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, platform engineering, DevOps, or equivalent infra role.
• Strong experience operating and automating production Kubernetes clusters, familiar with AWS and CD/CI pipelines.
• Experience with latency-sensitive, long-lived connections and high-availability requirements; Go preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate Kubernetes infrastructure for real-time services at scale.
• Improve deployment, scaling, and recovery workflows to minimize disruption of live streams.
• Develop observability and define service-level objectives for streaming availability and latency.
