Job summary

Skydio is the leading US drone company and world leader in autonomous flight. The Streaming team builds systems for live video, telemetry, and control data between drones and our cloud platform.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer on the Streaming team, you will own cloud infrastructure across Kubernetes, networking, deployment systems, and production services to improve reliability and efficiency. This hybrid role includes some application code changes and requires Go, Python, or C++

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SRE, platform engineering, DevOps, or an equivalent infrastructure role.
• Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters, with AWS familiarity.
• Experience operating distributed, latency-sensitive real-time systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, storage, and resilient topologies.
• Experience building observability with metrics, logs, traces, and profiling.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the cloud infrastructure behind Skydio's real-time streaming platform.
• Own infrastructure projects from design through deployment and operation.
• Improve deployment, scaling, and recovery workflows for active streams.
• Define service-level objectives for stream availability, latency, and reliability.
• Collaborate with device, networking, and product engineers to diagnose failures across the path from device to cloud.
