Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Manager for the Rail Track Team to lead delivery of complex rail projects from concept through completion. You will supervise track and civil design, manage schedules and budgets, and drive quality and risk management.

You will mentor teams, develop cost estimates, support business development, and build strong client relationships to secure future opportunities while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• 8+ years of project experience in rail track design.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• Proven ability to manage contracts, lead teams, and exceed client expectations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Define project scopes, schedules, and budgets and keep them on track.
• Lead cross-functional teams on intermodal or other rail terminal designs.
• Serve as the primary liaison for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure top-tier quality and compliance.
• Mentor team members on project management best practices.
• Build strong client relationships to secure future opportunities.
