Job summary

Olsson’s Rail Traffic team seeks a Project Engineer to support delivery of rail-related traffic engineering projects. You will engage with Class I railroads, state DOTs, and clients, performing analyses, design tasks, and coordination to ensure safe, efficient mobility.

This role emphasizes expanding project-delivery skills alongside technical design, including site visits, plan reviews, and teamwork across diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 6+ years of traffic or transportation engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Synchro, or similar software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and contribute to data collection for plans and studies.
• Review and prepare plans and/or studies with team input.
• Collaborate with team on complex rail traffic projects and client delivery.
• Travel to job sites as needed to observe and coordinate.
