Job summary

WSP seeks an Account Manager, Rail and Environmental to lead environmental services for a major freight rail client. You will drive program delivery, act as the primary client advisor, and oversee multidisciplinary teams across transportation and rail infrastructure projects.

You will develop growth strategies, manage forecasts and financial performance, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with Project Controls to monitor schedules and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience managing environmental programs for transportation, freight rail, or infrastructure.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Working knowledge of environmental service offerings (NEPA, remediation, asbestos/lead/PCBs, liabilities, surveys).
• Proven ability to lead programs across multiple disciplines and locations.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary account manager and client-facing lead for environmental services.
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and support growth of the account.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and client stakeholders and project sponsors.
• Develop account growth strategies and manage forecasting and financial performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of environmental and engineering professionals.
• Coordinate stakeholders to facilitate project delivery and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with standards, requirements and quality processes.
• Partner with Project Controls to monitor schedules, forecasts, EV metrics, resources, and safety metrics.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level account updates and strategic client presentations.
• Mentor project managers and staff, promoting safety and continuous improvement.
• Support proposals, strategic account planning, and business development for rail accounts.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and company policies.
