Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks an Account Manager, Rail and Environmental to lead environmental services for a major North American rail client.

The role demands overseeing programs, driving client relationships, and delivering safe, compliant projects across transportation and infrastructure sectors. You will coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, manage forecasting and performance, and participate in business development while upholding WSP safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience managing environmental programs for transportation, freight rail, or infrastructure clients.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Working knowledge of environmental service offerings including emergency response, due diligence, asbestos/lead/PCBs, NEPA, remediation and wastewater treatment.
• Proven experience managing strategic accounts, forecasting, business risks, and client relationships.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary account manager and client-facing lead for environmental services.
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and support growth of the account and WSP’s strategic freight rail program within the Earth & Environment sector.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client stakeholders, project sponsors, and operational leaders.
• Develop account growth strategies and manage forecasting and financial performance while ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of environmental and engineering professionals.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient project delivery and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with WSP and client standards, project requirements, regulatory requirements, and WSP quality processes.
• Partner with Project Controls teams to monitor schedules, forecasts, earned value metrics, resource utilization, and project safety metrics.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level account updates, performance reviews, and strategic client presentations.
• Mentor project managers, coordinators, and technical staff while promoting safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support proposal development, strategic account planning, and business development activities for rail accounts.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
