Job summary

WSP USA in Chicago seeks an Account Manager, Rail and Environmental to lead the delivery of environmental services for a major freight rail client. You will serve as the trusted advisor, manage multidisciplinary teams, and oversee account performance to ensure safety, quality, and commercial success.

You will develop growth strategies, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver executive-level updates while promoting a culture of safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience managing environmental programs for transportation, freight rail, or infrastructure clients.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across locations.
• Knowledge of environmental service offerings including NEPA, remediation, due diligence, survey and abatement of hazards, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary account manager and client-facing lead for environmental services.
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and grow the account within the Earth & Environment sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and client stakeholders and sponsors.
• Develop account growth strategies and manage forecasting and financial performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of environmental and engineering professionals.
• Coordinate stakeholders to facilitate efficient project delivery and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with standards, requirements, and quality processes.
• Partner with Project Controls to monitor schedules, forecasts, and safety metrics.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level account updates and strategic client presentations.
• Mentor project managers and staff to promote safety and collaboration.
