Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States seeks a Systems Engineer to lead technical aspects of large public safety projects across several states, including radio network design, integration, and testing. You will work with field teams and drive system acceptance.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline and 5+ years of engineering experience, with the ability to travel up to 50% and work legally in the U.S. Benefits are comprehensive and pay ranges are competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline and 5+ years of engineering experience OR 7 years of experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
• 5–50% travel as part of the role.
• Experience with Motorola ASTRO 25 architecture is a plus.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of radio networks including infrastructure and backhaul.
• Interact with customers and consultancies during design reviews and testing.
• System buildout, configuration and acceptance testing in lab and field.
• Radio coverage testing, frequency analysis and interference mitigation.
• Prepare system fleet maps, encryption templates and full documentation.
