Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States seeks a Sr. Field Engineer to design, implement, and support advanced communication systems. The role requires extensive travel (>75%) and a strong blend of RF and computer/networking expertise.

You will work with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales to meet customer specs and deliver documented systems. The position emphasizes onsite and remote configuration, installation oversight, troubleshooting, and performance verification of digital/analog RF

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in LMR, RF, IT systems, or related fields.
• Ability to design, implement, test, and document large-scale communication systems.
• Strong communication skills and professional presentation.
• Willingness to travel >75% and work in CJIS environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, optimize, cutover, and document communication systems per customer specs.
• Perform remote and onsite configuration of network, server, RF, and database components.
• Oversee onsite installation of network, server, and RF equipment and provide as-built docs.
• Troubleshoot networks, servers, databases, and RF infrastructure and monitor logs.
• Execute test plans for acceptance and optimize RF infrastructure per FCC data.
