Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the United States is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead end‑to‑end design and deployment of public safety radio networks. The role requires residency in AZ or NM and travel 25–50% across the Southwest region.

You will collaborate with sales, system integrators, product engineers and customers, perform acceptance testing, and produce comprehensive as‑built documentation. A background in radio systems and IP networking is essential; certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or Wireless Communications experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Finalize design and implementation of the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers, power, shelter and tower layouts.
• Develop acceptance test plans and conduct system functional acceptance testing.
• Produce as-built system documentation and participate in live system cutovers and upgrades.
• Provide input in system licensing (FCC/Industry Canada/NTIA) and customer presentations.
• Maintain strong communication with end-user customers and cross-functional teams.
