Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years in high-tech R&D or low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.
• 4+ years leading technical teams.
• US Person for contractual requirements (citizen/green card/residency status).
• National security constraint: not PRC/Russian national unless US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of mechanical product systems from concept to pilot build and production readiness.
• Own technical direction for Cryogenic systems, UHV hardware, physics packages, and MOT subsystems.
• Provide hands-on leadership for assembly, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Define and enforce DFX, manufacturability, and reliability standards.
• Drive transition from R&D to production with emphasis on yield, throughput, and cost.
• Establish manufacturing readiness using a phase-gate MRl progression.
• Own scope, schedule, budget, and risk across multiple hardware programs.
