Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO is seeking a mid-level Hardware Technician to assemble, test, and maintain ultra-high vacuum hardware for trapped-ion quantum computers. You will work hands-on on complex assemblies in a controlled environment, coordinating daily builds, logging data, and helping ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in R&D or manufacturing hardware, experience with vacuum pumps, gauges, seals, helium leak detection, and cleanroom procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years assembling, testing, maintaining, or troubleshooting complex hardware.
• Experience with vacuum systems, pumps, gauges, seals, and leak detection.
• Experience with precision assembly, cleaning, and contamination-control.
• Experience with cryogenic systems, optics, or complex instrumentation.

Responsabilités

• Assemble, integrate, test, and validate ultra-high-vacuum systems.
• Coordinate daily builds and help team meet quality and schedule commitments.
• Set up and troubleshoot production/test equipment (vacuum systems, leak detectors, ovens, cryogenics).
• Perform precision cleaning, handling, inspection, and testing in cleanroom environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware/process issues; document findings and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly processes, travel/fixtures, and test methods.
• Maintain production records, data logs, material status, and as-built configurations.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready work areas and support continuous-improvement efforts.
