Commence is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher for Alternative Payment Model implementation and evaluation. Qualifications

• D. in economics, health services research, health policy, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing and/or evaluating CMS/CMMI alternative payment models.
• Experience with both implementation and evaluation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with economists, data scientists, and engineers to conduct research and apply ML-based methods on the Commence platform.
• Design and conduct evaluations, including monitoring methodologies and quasi-experimental approaches to estimate impact on spending, utilization, and quality.
• Lead methodology documents, evaluation reports, and briefings for CMMI model teams with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Write technical approaches for CMS/CMMI and other federal proposals and manage project teams, tasks, and client interfaces to deliver high‑quality outputs on time and budget.
• Translate policy goals into operational methodologies using Medicare/Medicaid data, surveys, and census data to support value‑based care initiatives.
