Job summary

Commence is seeking a Senior Quantitative Researcher to lead the implementation and evaluation of CMS/CMMI-aligned alternative payment models. This role combines hands-on analytics with policy interpretation to generate actionable insights for federal clients and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in CMS/CMMI-related work, strong programming skills, and the ability to collaborate across economists, data scientists, and engineers.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics, health services research, health policy, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on CMS/CMMI implementation or evaluation experience preferred.
• Experience in both implementation and evaluation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of CMS/CMMI implementation and evaluation tasks.
• Collaborate with economists, data scientists, and engineers on research and prototypes.
• Prepare methodology documents, evaluation reports, and client briefings for federal teams.
• Develop and apply ML-based methods on the Commence platform to inform program decisions.
