Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Quality Control Manager with heavy civil experience to lead QC programs for dam and lock electrical projects. You will implement QC procedures, ensure contractual compliance, and supervise inspection and testing activities across projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clients and subcontractors, preparing technical correspondence, and tracking QC documentation. Travel may be required to support multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is highly desired.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a Quality Control capacity.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required.
• Previous USACE experience is a plus.
• USACE CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings.
• Verify materials incorporated into the project meet approved submittals and specifications.
• Execute required testing procedures in accordance with contract documents and industry standards.
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation, including daily reports, testing and inspection reports, and preparatory/initial meetings.
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties.
