Job summary

McMillen, Inc. designs and builds solutions for water resources and seeks a qualified Quality Control Manager with heavy civil construction experience to oversee QC programs on dam and lock electrical work.

The role requires implementing QC procedures, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, coordinating inspection and testing services, and maintaining quality across projects. Travel may be required, with a focus on safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction QC experience.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required.
• USACE experience is a plus.
• CQCM certification or ability to obtain certification.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings
• Verify materials incorporated into the project meet approved submittals and specifications
• Execute required testing procedures in accordance with contract documents and industry standards
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation, including daily reports, testing and inspection reports, and preparatory/initial meetings
• Review special inspections and material testing performed by third parties
