Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Quality Control Manager for heavy civil construction projects, including dam and lock electrical work. You will lead the QC program, coordinate inspections, testing, and ensure adherence to contract requirements and industry standards.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil QC, a Bachelor’s in a related field, and USACE CQCM certification (or ability to obtain). Travel to project sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is highly desired.
• 5+ years of heavy civil construction experience in a Quality Control capacity.
• Experience with dam and lock electrical work is required.
• USACE experience is a plus; CQCM certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Control practices and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with contractual requirements, specifications, and drawings.
• Verify materials meet approved submittals and specifications.
• Execute required testing procedures per contract and industry standards.
• Prepare professional correspondence for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Monitor, document, and track QC documentation (daily reports, testing/inspections).
• Review special inspections and material testing by third parties.
