Jobs for Humanity is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own product quality across web, mobile, APIs, and on-prem integrations. You will design comprehensive testing strategies, build reliable automation suites, and partner with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to embed quality in CI/CD pipelines.

You will lead test planning, triage defects, and mentor junior QA engineers, promoting shift-left testing and strong data management while ensuring fast, reliable releases for a growing enterprise.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA in product or SaaS with automation ownership.
• Strong expertise in front-end (UI) and API automation (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST-assured, Postman/Newman).
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and integrating tests into pipelines.
• Proficient in scripting or programming (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java).
• Knowledge of web and mobile testing approaches, including responsive design and cross-browser testing.
• Experience with authentication/authorization flows, encryption, and third-party identity integrations.
• Skilled in writing clear test plans and reproducible bug reports; communicating trade-offs.
• Comfortable in Agile environments; experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to influence engineers, PMs, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the QA strategy for features and releases across web, mobile, and API platforms.
• Create and maintain automated test suites covering end-to-end workflows (UI and API) and regression testing.
• Automate API testing, including contract tests and integration tests for REST/GraphQL endpoints.
• Conduct performance, load, and scalability testing using tools like JMeter, k6, or equivalents.
• Lead security-focused testing for authentication flows, role/permission validation, data masking, and injection testing.
• Produce comprehensive test plans, acceptance criteria, QA tickets, and test cases; triage defects and validate fixes.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable execution and fast feedback on PRs.
• Collaborate with SRE and DevOps to collect telemetry, logs, and metrics for observability.
• Analyze production incidents and contribute to post-mortems with corrective actions.
• Mentor QA engineers and promote best practices like exploratory testing and shift-left testing.
• Define release gating criteria and support go/no-go decisions.
