Job summary

FacilityOS is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own the quality of web, desktop, and mobile products. You will combine manual testing with automated test suites and collaborate with developers and product managers from requirements through release.

You’ll work across ASP.NET/Angular web platforms, Windows desktop apps, backend services, and Android/iOS mobile apps, growing automation from web/desktop into mobile.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software quality assurance experience, including at least 2 years building and maintaining automated tests.
• Strong manual testing skills: test design, exploratory and regression testing, and reproducing and isolating defects.
• Experience triaging and investigating reported issues, including root-cause analysis with developers.
• Hands-on test automation experience with Playwright (C# preferred) or similar frameworks.
• Working knowledge of C# / .NET, enough to read code, review pull requests, and write test code.
• Strong SQL skills (SQL Server preferred) for data validation and investigation.
• Experience testing web APIs with tools such as Postman or Swagger. Comfortable with browser developer tools.
• Experience testing web and desktop applications. Mobile testing is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of Jira, Confluence, a test management system (e.g. Zephyr), and Git / Azure DevOps.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and written communication skills. You write bug reports developers can act on right away.
• A high level of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and designs, and give timely, meaningful feedback.
• Plan and run functional, exploratory, regression, integration, permission, and user acceptance testing across web, desktop, and mobile applications.
• Write clear test plans, test cases, and checklists using appropriate test design techniques.
• Test APIs and data: validate requests and responses with API tools and check results in the database with SQL.
• Find, reproduce, and document defects with clear steps and evidence, and work with developers to understand the root cause and verify fixes.
• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites: Web (Playwright with C#), Desktop (FlaUI), Mobile (Appium potential).
• Integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and keep them reliable, fast, and maintainable.
• Build reusable test environments and test data, e.g. VM snapshots and seeded test accounts.
• Support product releases: identify changes and risk areas, plan and run regression testing.
• Track quality metrics and use them to improve the process.
• Investigate root causes with logs, queries, and tooling; verify fixes and add regression tests.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, support, and DevOps; mentor QA team members and share knowledge.
