Job summary

NOVACARD is a fully remote fintech company redefining credit access. We seek a Senior QA Engineer to ensure quality across mobile and backend products, spanning Android/iOS apps, APIs, queues, and databases.

You will investigate complex systems, identify risks pre‑release, and collaborate with product, dev, analytics, and QA teams in a fast‑paced fintech environment. The role is fully remote with occasional business trips if required, supporting a product‑focused, data‑driven culture and helping

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience testing complex software systems.
• 2+ years of experience testing external integrations.
• Strong experience in functional testing of mobile applications for Android and iOS.
• Hands‑on experience with device logs (Android Logcat, iOS Console).
• Experience intercepting and analyzing mobile traffic and testing across OS versions/screen resolutions.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Knowledge of SOAP/REST API testing (XML/JSON, codes, schemas).
• SQL skills to write medium‑complex queries and validate data in MSSQL/PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of asynchronous messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Kibana/OpenSearch/Grafana).
• Experience testing microservices and service boundaries.
• Ability to prepare test data via SQL/scripts and internal APIs.
• Fluent Russian and English at B1+ level.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new functionality, design tests, and write test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Test mobile apps on Android and iOS across versions and resolutions.
• Validate user scenarios across apps, APIs, queues, and databases.
• Prepare test data including various customer lifecycles and product offers.
• Analyze results, identify defects, and report findings clearly.
• Review requirements and coordinate with teams before testing.
• Estimate effort and maintain regression suites for releases.
• Investigate logs and trace requests across services with developers.
