Job summary

Valitana is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our FinTech SaaS team. You will design and execute test plans, automate where possible, and collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure high quality in a fast-paced startup environment.

This role offers a base salary and annual bonus, with in-office Mon-Wed and remote Thu-Fri, plus comprehensive benefits including retirement plan and healthcare. Bring strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional QA or software testing experience, preferably within FinTech or financial services.
• Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Mabl, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience with Agile software development processes (standups, sprints, retrospectives).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Swagger, Postman, RestAssured) and APIs.
• Experience testing SaaS platforms, including structured finance products (CLOs, ABS, CMBS, MBS).

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for web-based SaaS applications.
• Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for quality and release readiness.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Own end-to-end QA for a product workstream and ensure quality ownership.
• Perform regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
• Track, document, and communicate defects in Jira with timely resolutions.
• Continuously enhance test automation frameworks and suggest process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with stated industry standards and best practices.
• Contribute to release readiness, deployment validation, and post-production monitoring.
