Job summary

Valitana LLC in Plano (TX) is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our growing FinTech SaaS team. You will design and execute test plans, automate where possible, and collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure high-quality releases for institutional investors.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of QA experience, hands-on automation, and strong API testing skills. This role offers in-office Monday-Wednesday with remote options Thursday and Friday, plus a competitive salary

Qualifications

3+ years of professional QA or software testing experience, preferably within FinTech or financial services.
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Mabl, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
Experience with Agile methodology (daily stand-up, sprints, retrospectives).
Familiarity with APIs and tools for API testing (Swagger, Postman, RestAssured).
Experience testing SaaS platforms, preferably involving structured finance products (CLOs, ABS, CMBS, MBS).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

Design, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for web-based SaaS applications.
Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to ensure quality across releases.
Collaborate with developers and product managers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
Own end-to-end QA for an assigned product workstream, acting as the primary quality owner.
Perform regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Track, document, and communicate software defects in Jira ensuring timely resolutions.
Continuously enhance test automation frameworks in Mabl and identify areas for process improvements.
Ensure compliance with stated industry standards and best practices.
Contribute to release readiness, deployment validation, and post-production monitoring.
