Job summary

Fieldguide in San Francisco, CA is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Quality & Automation to own the customer quality experience end-to-end in SaaS/PaaS deployments. You will design agentic tooling, drive bug triage, reproduction, and automated tests, and partner with customers to validate fixes.

You'll work across stack (Python/TypeScript/React), CI, and deployment environments, mentoring engineers and shaping release quality gates while aligning with our enterprise customers' processes and

Qualifications

Production-grade software engineering experience.
Hands-on in building test automation and CI quality gates.
Experience applying AI/agentic tooling in real projects.
Experience working with customers or enterprise users.

Responsibilities

Own the customer's quality experience end-to-end.
Define agentic automation strategy for bug handling.
Collaborate with PMs and engineers on release quality gates.
Mentor engineers and raise testing rigor.
Work with customers to integrate with their processes.
