Job summary

Fieldguide, based in San Francisco, is transforming assurance work with AI-powered automation for cybersecurity, privacy, and financial audits. This role centers on building a world-class QA function and agentic testing that scales across SaaS and PaaS deployments.

You’ll work with customers and engineering to drive high-quality releases, develop repeatable bug-hunting practices, and shore up testing coverage with minimal human intervention.

Qualifications

• Production software engineering experience with hands-on coding and shipping features.
• Hands-on experience building test automation and CI quality gates.
• Real use of AI or agentic tooling as part of daily workflow.
• Experience working directly with customers or enterprise users on issues they care about.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and owning outcomes without a defined queue.

Responsibilities

• Own the customer's quality experience end to end, including reporting and communication.
• Set agentic automation strategy for bug handling and decide where automation pays.
• Define environment parity across SaaS and PaaS and drive the work to hold it.
• Collaborate with PMs and engineering leads to shape release practice and quality gates.
• Mentor engineers and raise the bar on testing rigor across teams.
• Represent Fieldguide externally through writing, speaking, and open-source contributions.
