Backcountry is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to build AI-accelerated test automation across web, API, and mobile. You will leverage Playwright and AI tools to generate and validate tests, integrate pipelines in GitHub Actions, and curb flaky tests while partnering with engineers to embed tests early in the SDLC.

You will drive exploratory testing, define risk-based strategies, and ensure high-quality releases in a remote, globally distributed team.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing with 3+ years building and maintaining test automation in CI/CD.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for web and API E2E automation; Cypress or Selenium a plus.
• Strong automation fundamentals and ability to diagnose flaky tests and implement robust strategies.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python; write test code to production standards.
• Experience using AI coding tools to generate, refactor, and validate test code.
