Job summary

Upgrade, Inc. is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to own end-to-end quality for a fast-moving fintech platform. You will build automated tests, validate new features, and partner with product teams to ensure reliability across microservices.

The role is fully remote for US-based candidates. You will work with Java, Selenium, Playwright and modern CI/CD tools, delivering high-quality software at pace with ownership across the stack.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing test automation in Java with Selenium and Playwright.
• Comfortable deploying services on Kubernetes and using ArgoCD/Jenkins.
• Familiar with log aggregation and monitoring tools (SumoLogic, Kibana, Grafana).
• Able to work in an Agile environment and deliver high-quality features.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated tests at the pace of feature development using AI tools.
• Create feature test plans and knowledge stores for automation.
• Define AI workflows to enable testing with existing automation tests.
• Run functional/performance tests in disposable environments.
• Patch services and deploy code changes through production.
• Analyze logs and reproduce issues in non-production environments.
