Job summary

Slate is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to own testing across web and mobile platforms. You will develop and execute testing strategies, write automated tests, and collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and support to ensure high-quality releases.

The role demands 7+ years in QA, 5+ years leading QA initiatives, and expertise with Playwright/Cypress/TestCafe or Selenium/Appium. Remote work from the USA is supported, with a compensation range of industry standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years professional QA Engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading QA projects and initiatives.
• Experience in manual and automated testing.
• Experience in scripting or coding.
• Experience with at least one automated test framework like Playwright/Cypress/TestCafe (web) and/or Selenium/Appium/WebdriverIO (mobile).
• Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics.
• Proven understanding of software internals and debugging using log files.
• Experience using AI tools to help complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manual and automated testing across web and mobile.
• Develop, improve, and employ testing strategies and techniques.
• Create, maintain regression tests and test plans.
• Collaborate with Software Development Engineers to understand product features and technical implementations.
• Work with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models.
• Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
• Drive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies.
