Backcountry, an outdoor retailer, is seeking a QA engineer to build AI-accelerated test automation using Playwright for web, API, and mobile. You will determine automation scope, perform exploratory testing, and convert escaped defects into regression checks.

You will mentor QA engineers, share AI prompts and workflows, and own automation frameworks, CI/CD quality gates, and testing strategy in a remote-first environment with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA experience, including 3+ years in test automation with Playwright.
• Hands-on experience integrating Playwright with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with functional, regression, API, and performance testing tools such as Postman, JMeter, or k6.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-accelerated test automation using Playwright for web, API, and mobile.
• Apply testing judgment to determine automation scope and perform exploratory testing.
