Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive automation strategy for web and service applications. You will design robust automation frameworks and integrate AI/ML-driven tooling to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency.

You will collaborate across Development, DevOps, and QA to embed automation in CI/CD pipelines, mentor engineers, and define KPIs to ensure alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in automation testing of web applications and APIs.
• Expertise in Playwright or similar automation frameworks.
• Experience with AI/ML tools and techniques in testing and defect management.
• Experience building MCP servers and integrating LLM agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of an automation strategy for web and service apps.
• Design scalable automation frameworks for functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven tools to improve test generation and defect prediction.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, QA to embed automation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor and coach a team of engineers; track KPIs for automation initiatives.
• Manage resource allocation, budgets, and timelines for automation projects.
