Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Manager- QA Test Automation to lead and transform our web and service automation testing frameworks while integrating AI solutions into our testing ecosystem. This role drives strategic execution and the optimization of automation and AI initiatives, ensuring high-quality deliverables and operational excellence.

The position leads a team of QA professionals across web, mobile, and services testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience demonstrated through work or training.
• Experience in automation testing of web applications and APIs.
• Expertise in automation frameworks like Playwright or similar.
• Experience with AI/ML tools, particularly in testing and defect management.
• Experience building MCP servers, tools, and integrations connecting LLM agents to internal systems.
• Experience with developer AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Devin AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive automation strategy for web and service applications.
• Design and manage scalable and robust automation frameworks for functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven tools to improve test case generation, defect prediction, and testing accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, DevOps, QA) to embed automation and AI solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies in AI and automation, bringing innovative solutions to the organization.
• Mentor and coach a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Define and track KPIs for automation and AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Manage resource allocation, budgets, and timelines for automation and AI projects.
