Job summary

Verizon in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Manager of QA Test Automation to lead and transform our web and service automation testing frameworks, integrating AI solutions into our testing ecosystem. You will drive strategic execution and optimization of automation and AI initiatives to ensure high-quality deliverables.

You will design scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and APIs, mentor a team of QA engineers, align with DevOps, and manage budgets, timelines, and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four+ years of work experience in QA automation.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in automation testing for web/mobile/API.
• Experience with automation frameworks like Playwright or similar.
• Experience with AI/ML tools and techniques in testing and defect management.
• Experience building MCP servers and integrations connecting LLM agents to internal systems.
• Experience with developer AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Devin AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of a comprehensive automation strategy for web and service applications.
• Design and manage scalable automation frameworks for functional, performance, and regression testing.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML-driven tools to improve test generation, defect prediction, and testing accuracy.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and QA to embed automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Stay ahead of trends in AI and automation and introduce innovative solutions.
• Mentor and coach a team of QA engineers toward technical excellence.
• Define and track KPIs for automation initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Manage resources, budgets, and timelines for automation projects.
