Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Manager of QA Test Automation to lead and transform our automation testing strategy across web, mobile, and API services. You will drive AI-driven enhancements, design scalable frameworks, and guide a team of QA engineers to deliver high-quality products.

The role blends hands-on leadership with strategic oversight in a hybrid work setting. You’ll advance automation initiatives, measure KPIs, and collaborate across Development and DevOps to embed testing into CI/CD

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required.
Experience in automation testing of web applications and APIs.
Expertise in automation frameworks like Playwright or similar.
Experience with AI/ML tools in testing and defect management.
Experience building MCP servers and integrations with internal systems.
Experience with developer AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Devin AI.

Responsibilities

Lead and transform our web and service automation testing frameworks with AI integrations.
Develop and execute test automation strategies for web, mobile, and service testing.
Design scalable automation frameworks for functional, performance, and regression testing.
Integrate AI/ML tools to improve test generation, defect prediction, and accuracy.
Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and QA to embed automation in CI/CD pipelines.
Mentor and coach a team of engineers toward technical excellence.
Define and track KPIs for automation and AI initiatives.
