Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement across multiple sites and remote options. The role leads Field Purchasing Manager and Category Buyers, develops strategies, and ensures compliance and efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• Seven+ years relevant experience in purchasing or procurement, related to construction industry.
• Experience leading and managing others.
• Experience negotiating; Terms & Conditions, Master Service Agreements, NDAs, and related contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Field Purchasing Manager and Category Buyers, ensuring effective execution of procurement processes.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and foster professional development opportunities within the team.
• Ensure the Procurement team is well-supported and equipped to meet organizational objectives.
• Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with the company’s business objectives and growth goals.
• Drive and enforce document control to save all POs and approvals in Procore.
• Maintain repository of company negotiated agreements including master vendor agreements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on updates to master templates and procedures and keep procurement informed.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Provide contract negotiation guidance to buyers using company guidelines.
• Provide direction on proper contract formats for the scope of work.
• Work with Compliance and Legal to review and maintain contracts and docs.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks to ensure continuity of supply.
• Continuously improve procurement processes for efficiency.
• Work with IT to implement procurement software and tools.
• Track and report procurement activities including POs, invoices, and inventory.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Compliance, HR, IT for seamless processes.
• Provide updates to senior management on performance, issues and opportunities.
• Lead weekly meetings and guide the team on challenges and priorities.
• Manage staffing within Purchasing and support HR on staffing needs.
• Provide ongoing training to keep the team aligned with objectives.
