Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager to oversee all purchasing processes across multiple locations in the US, with potential remote work. The role partners with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors to drive efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement in procurement activities.

The candidate will lead a team including Field Purchasing Manager and Category Buyers, develop procurement strategies, and ensure proper documentation and contract governance while aligning

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field
• Seven+ years relevant experience in purchasing or procurement, related to construction industry
• Experience leading and managing others
• Experience negotiating terms & conditions, MSAs, NDAs, and related contracts

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Field Purchasing Manager and Category Buyers
• Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with growth goals
• Drive document control and ensure POs and agreements are stored
• Coordinate with stakeholders on master templates and supplier agreements
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies and regulations
• Provide contract negotiation guidance and proper contract formats
• Collaborate with Compliance and Legal on procurement docs
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks and ensure supply continuity
• Implement procurement software/tools to streamline operations
• Track and report POs, invoices, and inventory levels
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, IT for seamless processes
• Provide updates to senior management on purchasing performance
• Lead weekly procurement team meetings and guide priorities
• Manage staffing levels within the Purchasing team
• Support HR in staffing-related issues for Purchasing
• Provide ongoing training for the Purchasing team
