Job summary

Motive is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for our Public Sector team in the United States. You will partner with Account Executives to shape deal strategy, tailor demonstrations, and act as a trusted advisor to technical and business stakeholders.

In this role, you will translate complex customer challenges into clear solutions, develop deep product expertise, and collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to drive growth. Travel up to 30%+ is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pre-sales or Solutions Engineering experience with Enterprise/Public Sector customers.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
• Travel up to 30%+; flexible, client-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of value-based selling frameworks (MEDDIC/MEDDPICC/Command of the Message).
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and technical solution design.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to shape deal strategy and drive discovery.
• Deliver high-impact demos for technical, operational, and business audiences.
• Translate customer challenges into measurable, business outcomes.
• Develop expertise in the competitive landscape and pursue displacement opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.
