Job summary

Docker is seeking a Principal Sales Engineer to own the technical side of conversations across the US Public Sector. You will be the technical face to agency CIOs, CISOs, program offices, and platform teams, partnering with Federal Account Executives to shape requirements early and win competitive technical evaluations.

You will drive deep technical discovery, governance for AI and software supply chain, and federal compliance fluency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical pre-sales for enterprise/government accounts.
• 3+ years selling into US Federal (DoW/ Federal Civilian).
• Strong knowledge of federal security/compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, DISA).
• Experience running PoCs/PoVs with defined success criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead deep technical discovery with agency offices and DevSecOps teams.
• Shape requirements to reflect Docker's value in AI governance and secure software supply chain.
• Design and execute PoCs/PoVs with clear success criteria for funding conversations.
• Represent Docker publicly in the federal community through events and content.
