Job summary

POWERX in TEXAS is seeking a P&C Senior Test Engineer to independently execute testing, commissioning, and validation across substations up to 765kV. You will work with minimal supervision, applying system-level understanding of protection schemes and relay logic.

You will develop test plans, participate in SCADA integration, coordinate outages, and mentor junior engineers, while ensuring adherence to NETA, IEEE, and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of high-voltage protection & control testing experience.
• Experience commissioning substations 12.5kV to 765kV preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Execute relay protection testing with multiple platforms under Lead oversight.
• Develop test plans, isolation plans, and energization procedures.
• Mentor Test Engineer II and ensure safe, high-quality work.
