Qualifications

• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen for a safety sensitive role.
• Criminal background check clearance required.
• Willing to work overtime and travel as needed.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Hands-on experience installing, repairing protective relays in substations.
• Capable of troubleshooting distribution/transmission controls.
• Knowledge of relay test software.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and maintain safety culture.
• Analyze protection schemes for power circuits and systems.
• Install, commission, test, and validate relay panels and gear.
• Perform end-to-end and functional testing with relay test equipment.
• Read schematics, logic diagrams, and configurations.
• Calibrate and verify electromechanical and microprocessor relays.
• Lead root cause analyses for trips or disturbances.
• Develop project execution and energization plans.
• Coordinate resources and field activities for large projects.
• Prepare comprehensive test and commissioning reports.
