Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an experienced Senior Protection & Control Engineer to review and lead P&C designs for T&D substations, data centers and BESS applications. You will mentor the secondary design team, coordinate with engineers and project managers, and ensure compliance with standards and project specifications.

You will drive technical direction, develop testing procedures, and support site commissioning while maintaining lean practices and continuous learning in grid transition technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• P.E. license in the US required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in protection schemes and relays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality design of protection schemes for T&D substations and related applications.
• Review and mentor design work, including relay settings and one-lines.
• Lead P&C technical aspects of AC power substation projects and interface with teams and customers.
• Develop testing procedures and support factory/site acceptance testing.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and support ISO 9002 quality initiatives.
