Job summary

InnoForge in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior Proposal Specialist to lead technical proposal development for U.S. government opportunities. You will translate complex engineering concepts into clear, compelling content and collaborate with engineering, business development, and leadership to win contracts.

You'll own RFIs, RFPs, SBIRs, BAAs, OTAs, and other federal pathways, ensure compliance, and help build a scalable proposal capability as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 3-6+ years of technical proposal writing experience in defense, space, or intelligence programs.
• Experience writing for U.S. government customers (DoD, Space Force, NASA, IC).
• Familiarity with SBIR/STTR, OTAs, BAAs, and federal solicitations.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accurate, high-quality content.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write technical proposals, white papers, and supporting documentation for U.S. government opportunities.
• Support submissions across RFIs, RFPs, SBIRs, BAAs, OTAs, and other federal pathways.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical leadership to understand products and proposed solutions.
• Translate engineering concepts into compelling narratives aligned with customer requirements.
• Review solicitation requirements, ensure compliance, and address evaluation criteria.
• Manage proposal deliverables, timelines, and cross-functional coordination.
• Help establish and improve proposal processes and content libraries as the business grows.
