Job summary

Essex Property Trust is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in San Francisco to maintain the property infrastructure, complete work orders, manage turnovers, and contribute to a safe, high-quality living environment for residents. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor and coordinate with vendors as needed.

The role requires on-site work five days a week, after-hours on-call rotations, and the ability to lift heavy objects and operate machinery.

Qualifications

• HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair knowledge.
• Experience in property maintenance or facility management.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex repairs on HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Diagnose issues and assist planning major repair projects.
• Lead and mentor junior maintenance technicians.
• Act as a technical resource and lead small project teams.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans to optimize systems.
