Essex Property Trust, Inc. is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician for its SF community. You will perform complex repairs, manage unit turnovers, and support the Maintenance Supervisor to uphold safety and quality.

The role includes on-call rotations and collaboration with the team to keep resident environments safe and well-maintained. You will mentor junior technicians, lead small projects, and document maintenance activities in SightPlan while coordinating with supervisors and managers to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2+ years in property maintenance or related field.
• HVAC and/or CPO certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex repairs and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other essential building equipment.
• Diagnose issues, implement solutions, and assist in major repair and renovation planning.
• Lead and mentor junior maintenance technicians with hands-on training.
• Act as a technical resource, lead small project teams, ensure timely task completion.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans to optimize property system performance.
• Conduct regular inspections and resolve potential issues before escalation.
• Deliver resident service by addressing maintenance requests professionally.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as part of on-call rotation.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure quick resolutions and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain records of maintenance in SightPlan and report progress to leadership.
