Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to manage in-unit and community upkeep, perform repairs, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the property. You will diagnose issues, coordinate make-ready work for vacancies, and uphold Greystar standards in exterior and interior areas.

The role requires strong customer service, basic math, and ability to read/write to document tasks and communicate with residents and vendors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; skilled in safe use of hand/power tools.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to identify and fix problems.
• Proficient in customer service and interpersonal communication to interact with residents and team members.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent management.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; property management system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills for handling financial/administrative documents.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair defects in community buildings, grounds, and common areas.
• Oversee and complete make-ready process for vacant units, including scheduling vendors.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance reflecting Greystar quality.
• Inspect work by team members and contractors for quality and compliance.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies and manage budget guidelines.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance and support budgeting for repairs.
• Participate in safety meetings and ensure OSHA and MSDS compliance.
• Provide responsive customer service to residents and team members.
