Job summary

Greystar seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep the community’s buildings, grounds, and amenities safe, clean, and fully functional. You will respond to work orders, perform routine upkeep, and coordinate make-ready tasks for new move-ins.

The role emphasizes safety, inventory management, and timely communication with the Community Manager, residents, and vendors. EPA HVAC certifications and proficient use of hand and power tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate to support management.
• Proficiency in math for financial and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists and completes work orders from resident requests and performs routine upkeep.
• Oversees and completes make-ready process for vacant units and coordinates vendors.
• Maintains standards for cleanliness/appearance of grounds, exteriors, interiors.
• Inspects work by team members to ensure policy compliance and quality.
• Inspects contractors and vendors to verify quality and scope.
• Maintains inventory of parts and coordinates supplies with manager.
• Performs monthly preventative maintenance as per policy.
• Assists in budgeting for repairs and capital projects.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing where possible.
• Participates in safety meetings and stays compliant with OSHA requirements.
