AION Management is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for residential properties in Portsmouth, VA. You will supervise the maintenance team, manage preventative maintenance programs, respond to service requests and emergencies, and ensure life-safety and regulatory compliance.

This role partners with Operations leadership to protect asset value, control costs, and support resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years of maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in multifamily or property management.
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily maintenance operations for residential units, common areas, and building systems.
• Ensure timely response to service requests, unit turns, inspections, and emergency repairs.
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventative maintenance (PM) programs; manage materials for PM activities.
• Ensure compliance with life-safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements; maintain safe working environment.
• Supervise, train, and develop maintenance technicians and service staff; manage vendor relationships and inventory.
