Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain CPM schedules for multiple commercial construction projects. You will monitor baselines, explain variances, and prepare trend reports for senior leadership.

You will organize bid schedules, review data, and collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and estimators to keep plans realistic and on track. This role demands strong communication and deadline discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of scheduling experience on commercial construction projects.
• Proficient with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office; able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CPM schedules for assigned projects.
• Organize bid proposals and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review schedule data including start/finish dates, costs, WBS, and activity data.
• Evaluate work packages for feasible implementation and alternatives.
• Communicate status and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with preconstruction team to clearly convey schedule details.
• Analyze requirements and ensure resources are available to maintain schedules.
• Coordinate status updates with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure plans are achievable and current on a daily basis.
