Layton Construction Company is seeking a Project Scheduler to develop and maintain CPM schedules for assigned construction projects. The role tracks baseline progress, explains variances, and prepares trend reports to inform the project outlook.

Collaboration with project managers, superintendents, and estimators is essential to keep schedules current and actionable. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience, 5+ years of scheduling for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of experience in scheduling for commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Experience overseeing construction processes and leading teams on complex tasks.
• Knowledge of multiple construction markets (institutional, retail, government, hospitality, healthcare).
• High integrity and adherence to professional conduct and policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules using CPM techniques.
• Organize and prioritize bid proposals to meet deadlines.
• Review schedule data, including activity records, start/finish dates, costs, and WBS.
• Communicate status and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with preconstruction team to ensure clear scheduling information.
• Ensure resources are available to maintain schedules and flag constraints.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on status updates.
